In this guide, we're assuming that a staff member has a base schedule but that schedule may change week to week. There are several ways to handle this, but in this tutorial we are going to deal with it as tinkering with the Staff's schedule.
My normal working hours are 9:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday. But, let's say the week of June 10-14 I will be available from 8:00am - 3:00pm Monday-Wednesday and 10:00am-5:00pm Thursday & Friday. But, the week of June 17-21, I'm only available from 12:00pm-5:00pm each day. Then, back on the week of June 24-28 I return to a normal work week of 9:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday.
First, I will navigate to my working hours by going to Setup->Staff
Then, I'll click on my name from the list of displayed staff members:
I'll then click on the working hours tab and see that my normal schedule is set up:
I will first put an end date to my "Normal work schedule" using the end date column and marking the end as 9 June 2013.
Then I'll use the signs on the right hand side to add dates to it to reflect my upcoming shifting schedule. First, I'll start with the week of June 10-June 14 where I'm working 8:00am-3:00pm Monday-Wednesday then 10:00am-5:00pm Thursday & Friday:
Next I'll use the signs on the right hand side to add dates to it to reflect the following week. June 17-June 21 I'm working 12:00pm-5:00pm each day:
Finally, I'll use the signs on the right hand side to bring the week after June 17-21 back to my normal schedule. Notice that these dates do not need end dates as I'm letting the schedule go indefinitely out into the future:
Then go over to the Services tab up top and press "Save" at the bottom of the screen. Your new schedule will be awaiting you for booking.
